About Our ClinicDr. Muhammad Afzal
Owner / Veterinarian
Dr Afzal graduated doctor of veterinary medicine in 1996, he completed his VSTEP (Veterinary skill enhancement programme) from the University of Guelph in 2008 and was awarded a certificate of qualification from the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association in 2009. Dr Afzal Started his career in north America with Banfield Pet Hospital in Houston Tx in 2009 and complete his 3 years contract in 2012. He then joined Dresden Veterinary Clinic in 2012 and worked there for a year and a half. Then, Dr Afzal started his own practice, College Park Animal Hospital in Sarnia ON, and carried on treating pets from 2013 to 2022. In 2023 he moved to London ON and worked 1 and ½ years as a locum veterinarian. After having extensive veterinary medicine and surgery experience Dr Afzal decided to help the London community pets and opened Fanshawe Veterinary Clinic. Dr Afzal loves to read and consult pet related articles, new researches, and new updated treatments to keep pets healthy and out of discomfort. We primarily care for cats and dogs. Our comprehensive services include veterinary
medicine, surgery, preventive care, immunizations, and pet food.

Veterinary Assistant
My journey into veterinary care began at the age of 12 when I started volunteering at a local animal clinic. Those three formative years ignited my passion for working with animals. Although I initially pursued my interest in health sciences by completing a Pre-Health Sciences certificate at Fanshawe College and further studies in the healthcare field, my heart naturally led me back to working with animals. After a year of working as a veterinary assistant, I am excited to have joined Fanshawe Veterinary Clinic, where I plan to continue my education toward becoming a licensed veterinary technician.
My love for animals extends beyond work. At home, I care for my own little fur baby, a 1-year-old cat named Pumpkin. I strive to show every patient the same love and attention I give to my own pet. I am dedicated to providing exceptional support to pets and their families, and there is nothing more rewarding than being part of a team that shares the same passion for helping animals live healthier, happier lives.
